Indoor cycling classes are Instructor led. RPE (Perceived Effort*) based workouts that are designed to keep you fit over the winter and build a strong base for next years outdoor riding season. Classes are open to any level rider who wants a structured workout on their own bike indoors with other like minded riders, from total beginners to very advanced.
HZ Ride Center classes consistently draw a loyal following of familiar faces and eager newcomers. Sure, winter fitness is one reason we draw a crowd each week, but it is the camaraderie, and the pursuit of a common goal that makes our indoor classes so successful.
Classes are conducted using your own bicycle and a stationary trainer. We supply each rider with a Cycleops Fluid2 trainer.
*Rate of Perceived Effort Scale- Pacing and an awareness of the effort you are putting in are essential for successful cycling! he Rate of Perceived Effort Scale (RPE) is used to measure the intensity of your exercise. Our scale runs from 1 to 8+ to show varying levels of effort. The numbers relate to descriptions or feelings used to rate how easy or difficult you find the activity you are doing.
